JUSTINA MUTALE NAMED 2019 MOST ADMIRED GLOBAL AFRICAN WOMAN

Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA: Justina Mutale, Founder & President of the Justina Mutale Foundation has been named as the “Most Admired Global African Woman” in the 2019 GLOBAL ICONS Awards held in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California in the United States of America, organised by Passion Vista Magazine, a global Lifestyle, Luxury, and Business publication.

A recipient of the ‘MANDELA100 Prize’ and the ‘Danny Glover POWER OF A DREAM Award’ from legendary Hollywood Actor and Humanitarian, Dr. Mutale has over the years been globally acclaimed as one of the most influential and inspirational women of African origin. In 2012, she was awarded the prestigious title of ‘African Woman of the Year’, sharing a platform with various African Leaders and Heads of State.  In 2014, she was recognised as a Distinguished Member of the Global Order of Dignitaries and Philanthropists in the G.O.D. Awards held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, sharing a platform with Kings and Queens, Rulers, Heads of State, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Diplomats and other Dignitaries from different parts of the world.

In 2015, Dr Mutale was inducted to the Distinguished Membership of the Royal Biographical Institute, a the pre-eminent intellectual and literary platform for the research and documentation of the pedigrees, lives, careers and businesses of Royals (Emperors, Empresses, Kings, Queens, Princes, Princesses, Dukes, Barons, Duchesses, and Earls) and Leaders in the Realm of Political Governance and Global Statesmanship; Business, Entrepreneurial & Industrial Legends and Icons of the world’s popular professions, who have distinguished themselves in governance, industry, finance, philanthropy, the arts, sciences and humanitarian deed.

Through her own Foundation, Dr Mutale advocates for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, including political participation and the economic empowerment of women and girls by providing entrepreneurship and leadership training and mentorship.  She also advocates for the retention and completion of tertiary education for young women and girls, as well as boys from rural and disadvantaged families in Africa by providing them with university scholarships to access higher education around the world. Dr Mutale is also Founder of POSITIVE RUNWAY, the Global Catwalk to Stop the Spread of HIV/AIDS, a worldwide AIDS response campaign.

Dr Mutale has been acclaimed as a game changer and is featured among African women who are changing the game, changing the rules and changing the future. She has graced prestigious Magazine covers of various publications from different parts of the world. Dr Mutale has been praised as one of the 21st century new leaders and influencers of our time, who are challenging what we have known for ages, challenging the stereotypes, challenging the norms and creating their own reality, which resonates with the needs of people around them, leaders who lead by maximising resources around them to create powerful ripple effects that are changing lives around the world, using the power of her gifting, vision and creativity.  She has been globally recognised as a public personality who has the ability to use her status to potentially influence new thinking, to inspire the future, motivate the young generation, and make the world a better place.

A globally acclaimed and highly sought-after International Keynote Speaker, Dr Mutale is a regular Keynote Speaker at various Economic Forums around the world and other high-level conferences and meetings that address Political, Economic, Social, Gender and African Issues.  She is a civil society delegate and Speaker at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, as well as the African Union High-Level Panel on Gender Equality and the Commonwealth Women’s Forum.

A recipient of numerous Awards, Honours and Accolades across the globe, Dr Mutale  has been honoured with eight different Honorary Doctorates from various institutions around the world. She is featured in the BLACK 100+ Hall of Fame, an Exhibition and Legacy of the top 100 Black Achievers in modern Britain. In 2016 she was listed in the Powerlist of the top 100 Women from Emerging Economies.  In 2017, She was listed in the Powerlist of the 100 Most Influential Black People in the UK and in 2018, Dr Mutale was named as Africa’s Best Female Philanthropist by Tropics Magazine of South Africa.

In 2019, Dr Mutale has been named in the 100 Most Reputable People on Earth and 100 Most Reputable Africans in the World. She has also been listed in the Powerlist of the 100 Most Influential African Women in the world.  Dr Mutale is listed on numerous other Halls of Fame, WHO’s WHO Lists, Influential Lists and Power Lists across the globe. She serves as President, Patron, Ambassador, Chairperson, Trustee, Consultant and Mentor to various organisations in the UK and across the globe. She sits on the Board of the World Leaders Forum, and is the Global Envoy for Gender Equality and Spokesperson of the International Women’s Think Tank. In addition, Dr Mutale is a Mentor and Consultant to the Young African Leaders Forum.

Dr Mutale has been honoured on various platforms around the world for her outstanding and phenomenal leadership qualities as a Stateswoman; Global Woman Leader of the Year; and  Iconic Woman Leader of the Decade.
